y the sources, it was mentioned for the first time in the 13

century. It was small
but tightly built fortress on the right bank of Una River on a thin rocky place.
The first known masters of Krupa were Babonjićs of Blagaj. Later it came under royal
authority. In 1490 Governor Ivaniš Korvin took it under his authority and joined it
to his property. Since 1531 its masters became Dukes Zrinski and in 1563 town was
guarded by 40 king’s soldiers.
